Get Outside! 1900 Acres of Adventure Await at Stonewall Resort

Here, there are plenty of activities to keep everyone engaged throughout the duration of an event. Getting outside is a great way to reinvigorate your team.

Here are a few ways to do it.

Hit the Trails

Groups can enjoy some of these favorite activities:

  • Hiking Trails: With over 16 miles of lush hiking trails that wind through diverse flora and fauna, there’s something for everyone. Choose from six unique trails, each offering its own distinct experience. Follow the trail markers and watch for local wildlife as you soak up the park’s natural beauty.
  • Cycling: Gather your group and don helmets for a journey along traffic-free rural country roads. Take in the scenic beauty that surrounds you as you cycle through the park. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just looking for a leisurely ride, this is a great way to explore the area.

Enjoy the Lake

The lake is a wonderful spot for groups to liven up their event.

Cruise the lake aboard Little Sorrel, a 100-passenger double-decker cruise boat that will take your attendees to explore the bays and coves of the lake. Alternatively, invite them to paddle at their own pace on a kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard.

A fifth of the lake is designated as no wake, allowing for relaxed paddling and wildlife spotting. For those who enjoy fishing, the lake is home to a wide variety of freshwater fish, including bass, carp, walleye, crappie, and bluegill.

One of the wildest outdoor excursions you can have at Stonewall are the CraigCats. CraigCat mini boats are an awesome alternative to jet skis or pontoon boats. These boats are very stable in the water, easy to maneuver, and a blast to drive.

Bathe in the Forest

Are you familiar with the term “forest bathing”? Despite its name, there are no bathtubs or bubbles involved. The idea, also known as forest immersion, originates from the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, which translates to “forest bath.”

It involves immersing oneself in the deep woods and using all senses to absorb the natural environment fully.
